Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc. is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to help older adults regain mobility and confidence in a geriatric setting.

You will work closely with PTs, nurses, and other therapists to develop and implement individualized plans, focusing on gait, balance, and daily functional activities. New grads welcomed with mentorship; flexible scheduling and strong support structures abound.

Qualifications

• Active Washington PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric care and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat a medically complex geriatric population with mobility-focused therapy.
• Guide residents through mobility milestones and safe transfers.
• Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions.
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, OT, and speech for holistic recovery.
