Job summary

Independence Rehab Inc. seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to serve residents at Creekside Continuing Care in Burlington and Ashley Gardens in Mt. Vernon. The role is full-time with a flexible schedule, focusing on geriatric mobility and independence.

You will work closely with PTs, nurses, OT, and speech therapists to support safe transfers, gait training, and functional activities in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Active Washington PTA license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Interest in geriatric care and functional outcomes.
• SNF experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Split days between Creekside Continuing Care (Burlington) and Ashley Gardens (Mt. Vernon).
• Perform outpatient PTA services for a geriatric population.
• Lead gait, balance, strengthening, and functional training sessions.
• Assist in transfers, mobility milestones, and fall-prevention activities.
• Collaborate with PT, nursing, OT, and speech for holistic care.
• Support patients and families with meaningful independence goals.
