Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered care. You will perform delegated procedures, document progress, and adjust treatment within the plan.

You will supervise a PT aide, help coordinate workload, and address age-specific needs while maintaining patient safety and comfort in the hospital setting. A associate degree and BLS are required; licensure in state of practice is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required.
• Licensed in the state of practice or holding a state-authorized permit/license, where applicable.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification required.
• Entry-level acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy procedures.
• Document patient progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the PT aide and coordinate department workload.
