Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered care at our Missouri facility. The role includes performing delegated procedures, documenting progress, and adjusting treatments per the PT plan while ensuring safety and dignity for all patients and families.

You will assess pain, address age-specific needs, and collaborate with the care team in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Licensed in state of practice or temporary permit.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist and perform delegated procedures.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Modify treatment per PT plan as patient status changes.
• Ensure patient safety and address age-specific needs.
• Treat patients with respect and dignity; assess and manage pain per policy.
• Identify safety issues and report them.
• Coordinate workload and provide guidance to PT aide.
