Job summary

Mercy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered care in our Missouri hospital. You will assist with treatments, monitor progress, and adapt activities under supervision.

You will document progress notes, ensure safety, and coordinate with the PT aide to manage department workload. This role emphasizes compassionate care, age-appropriate considerations, and adherence to pain management and safety policies.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or equivalent.
• Currently licensed or holding temporary permit in Missouri.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering physical therapy procedures.
• Document patient progress notes and treatment outcomes.
• Coordinate workload and provide guidance to the PT aide as directed.
• Address age-specific patient needs with dignity.
