Job summary

Valley View Post Acute is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist with resident care and treatment plans. The PTA will document care, ensure safety, and participate in care conferences, while maintaining compliance with state regulations and facility policies.

The role requires an Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program, state licensure as a PTA, and CPR certification if required. Experience with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment protocols.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides and participate in care conferences.
• Communicate progress and discharge plans with the physician, nursing staff and family.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
