Job summary

MARIONVALLEY seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support the Staff Physical Therapist in resident-focused care. The role involves direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the care team to meet treatment goals.

Required qualifications include an Associate Degree in PTA, and state licensure as a PTA. Proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care is preferred, with adherence to all safety and infection control procedures. Training and ongoing education are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Communicate with the supervising physical therapist to update physicians, nursing staff, the interdisciplinary team, residents, and families regarding progress, goals, and discharge planning.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety techniques.
