Job summary

Valley View Medical Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support a licensed Physical Therapist in delivering patient-focused care. The PTA will assist with restoring mobility, executing prescribed interventions, and guiding patient exercises to promote functional recovery.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, maintaining a safe treatment setting, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, culminating in an associate degree.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the practicing state.
• CPR certification (when required).
• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring functions and improving mobility.
• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
