Job summary

Fruitvale Healthcare Center in Oakland, CA is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patient care within the established plan of care. The role emphasizes hands-on treatment and coordination with PTs and nursing staff.

The position offers a salary range of $85,280–$104,000 per year with a sign-on bonus. California PTA license required; one year of clinical experience preferred; PTO and referral bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
