Job summary

Fruitvale Healthcare Center in Oakland, California is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate clinical team. You will administer treatment per an established plan of care and help patients recover from neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.

We offer a salary range of $81,120 to $93,600 with full/part-time options and a sign-on bonus. Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K, PTO, referral bonuses, and relocation reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Performs tests and measurements for muscle strength, range of motion, and respiration and circulation.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT support.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
