Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the physical therapist's plan of care and serve as a clinical resource for staff and students. This role offers a sign-on bonus and requires licensure as a PTA (IDFPR).

Responsibilities include patient education, adapting treatment based on responses, and maintaining compliant documentation. Continuing education for acute stroke care is required, with board exam progression noted.

Qualifications

• Education level includes Associate's Degree and field of study in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) is required.
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA).
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.
• Must pass board exam on the next available date.
• Continuing education may include 1, 4, or 8 hours to comply with DNV Hip/Knee cert standards.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy (CTSCP67).
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
