Job summary

Avalon Rehab & Care Center is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated health care team. You will work with residents to evaluate needs and help implement treatment plans in a long-term care setting.

You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and aides to ensure consistent, high-quality care and measurable progress for residents. This role requires a Pennsylvania PTA license, experience in long-term care preferred, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current PA PTA license required for practice.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating Residents and developing a treatment plan that meets their needs.
• Assist residents to carry out daily activities independently.
• Monitor residents as they carry out assigned tasks.
• Rehabilitate residents affected by injury, illness, or other problems.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and trust through proper information handling.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams and contribute to team effort.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you are to:

• Assist in evaluating Residents & developing a treatment plan that will meet their needs.
• Assist in activities that will help the Residents to carry out their daily works independently.
• Assist in monitoring Residents as they carry out the task given to them.
• Assist in rehabilitating Residents who have been disabled as a result of injury, illness, or other problems.
• Assist in maintaining Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Assist in maintaining a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams & contributes to the team effort.

Requirements Include:

• Current Pennsylvania PTA License
• Experience in Long-term-care settings preferred
