Job summary

WeCare Centers in Mercer, PA, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Avalon Springs Care Center. In this role you will support residents to improve mobility, assist with treatment plans, and help them regain movement under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.

The ideal candidate has graduated from an accredited PTA program, holds a current State PTA license, and brings a patient-centered approach. Outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
• Current State PTA License.
• Outpatient experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Making modifications to treatments as directed by the physical therapist to help the patient progress or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Preparing patients and equipment for therapy and implementing treatment plans as instructed, including exercise, stretching, applying modalities, and functional mobility training.
• Recording patient’s reaction to treatment and providing status reports at the end of each treatment.
• Using assistive devices and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
