Job summary

Diamond Care Group in Ocala, FL is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to work under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will implement treatment plans and educate patients to promote continued recovery.

You will collaborate with RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists to ensure coordinated, holistic care and maintain thorough documentation for all patients.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring effective, individualized care.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities for patients in geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care settings.
• Observe, assess, and document patient responses and progress, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and techniques to promote continued recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members—including RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients.

Education

Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or equivalent education and experience
