Job summary

Diamond Care Group in Florida is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes patient education, documentation, and collaboration with RNs, PTs, OTs, and other clinicians to support recovery across geriatrics and other settings. A Florida PTA license is required, and home-health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA or equivalent education and experience.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of the licensed PT.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities for diverse patient groups.
• Observe, assess, and document patient responses and progress.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and progress notes.
• Collaborate with RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists for coordinated care.
• Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring effective, individualized care.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities for patients in geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care settings.
• Observe, assess, and document patient responses and progress, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and techniques to promote continued recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members—including RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or equivalent education and experience.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Experience in home health, preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
