Job summary

Atlantic Cape Community College is seeking a part-time Security Officer to support Safety and Public Safety on campus and at satellite locations. You will greet students and visitors, perform patrols, monitor alarms, and assist with securing college property.

Flexible scheduling includes day, evening and weekend shifts up to 26 hours per week; candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification, with a valid NJ driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR & First Aid certification required or able to obtain.
• Valid NJ driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Sergeant - Officer in Charge of Security and Public Safety.
• Performs main and satellite campus duties in cooperation with on-site management
• Assists with securing college property
• Conducts periodic patrols of all buildings and grounds
• Uses a watch tour system to verify a check of each station
• Reports all unusual conditions; monitors and operates all alarm systems
• Assists with monitoring the Building Management System and Building Surveillance System as needed
• Reports motor vehicle accidents within the limits of the college campus
• Provides emergency first-aid as needed
• Reports various campus incidents to security management
• Participates in first-aid and CPR training
• Provides basic customer relations services
• Meets, greets and directs students and campus visitors
• Performs related duties as assigned

Terms of Employment:
