Job summary

Atlantic Cape Community College seeks a part-time Security/Public Safety assistant to support campus safety operations. You will report to the Sergeant - Officer in Charge of Security and Public Safety and assist with securing college property while conducting patrols and responding to incidents.

Responsibilities include monitoring alarm systems, aiding in first-aid and CPR training, greeting students and visitors, and coordinating with on-site management for campus safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to be certified in CPR & First Aid.
• Must have a telephone, reliable transportation and valid N.J. driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Sergeant - Officer in Charge of Security and Public Safety.
• Performs main and satellite campus duties in cooperation with on-site management.
• Assists with the functions related to securing college property.
• Conducts periodic patrols of all buildings and grounds.
• Uses a watch tour system to verify a check of each station.
• Reports all unusual conditions; monitors and operates all alarm systems.
• Assists with monitoring the Building Management System and Building Surveillance System as needed.
• Reports motor vehicle accidents within the limits of the college campus.
• Provides emergency first-aid as needed.
• Reports various campus incidents to security management.
• Participates in first-aid and CPR training.
• Provides basic customer relations services.
• Meets, greets and directs students and campus visitors.
