Job summary

Camden County Technical Schools Gloucester Twp Campus is seeking a part-time School Security Officer to help secure students, staff and property at the Gloucester Township Campus in Sicklerville, NJ. Starting date is immediate, and the position is scheduled to meet the district’s needs.

The role is compensated at $20.00 per hour and does not include health, dental, or board-paid benefits. Interviews are at the discretion of the superintendent and based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in law enforcement or security work.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal alien status.
• Willingness to relocate to NJ within 365 days if required.
• Meets health qualifications required of all personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of student and staff parking.
• Assist with morning and afternoon supervision of student transportation services.
• Assist with building evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Assist in the development, processing and administration of the student, staff and visitor identification systems.
• Assist in the maintenance and operation of the school district video security system.
• Maintain and distribute staff communication devices.
• Assist in the coordination of security assignments for school activities.
• Consult with division heads on methods of increasing security in and about school premises.
• Act as a liaison with public safety authorities on matters affecting school security.
• Maintain a security log and prepares reports as directed.
• Assist in conducting security related investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor per the CCTS’ Organizational Chart/or designee.
