Job summary

Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a part-time role in a skilled nursing setting. The RT should be licensed (RRT/CRT) and enjoy geriatric care, evaluating and treating residents independently.

Responsibilities include initiating therapies, documentation, equipment management, and quarterly nursing staff in-services, with weekend shifts and 4–6 hour blocks, potentially up to 8 hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the practice state; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory therapies for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, and operate equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and attend IDT meetings.
• Document daily, weekly, and monthly activities; manage caseload.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday
