Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, with a focus on geriatric care and functional benefit.

Qualified candidates hold COARC-accredited credentials (AS or BS) and an active RRT/CRT license, with BLS certification. The role involves shift work, typically 4–6 hours per shift, including Saturdays and Sundays, with potential up to 8

• Licensed in the state in which practicing; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques for rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and contribute to staff education quarterly.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly documentation; participate in IDT meetings.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.
