Job summary

Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a skilled nursing team focused on geriatric care. The RT will evaluate and treat residents independently, ensuring adherence to facility protocols and documentation standards.

The ideal candidate holds a COARC-accredited AS or BS in Respiratory Therapy, is licensed as an RRT or CRT, and possesses BLS certification. Experience in long-term care and with tracheostomy care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the practicing state.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and complete quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation and participate in IDT meetings.
• Experience with tracheotomy and long-term care setting; follow facility procedures and protocol.
• Manage tracking, auditing and caseload, and perform related duties as required.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday
