Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center seeks a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join a geriatric care team in New Jersey. You will assess residents, initiate therapies, and document progress per facility protocol.

Requirements include COARC-accredited training with RRT/CRT licensure and BLS certification; long-term care and tracheotomy experience are preferred. Salary ranges from $37 to $45 per hour.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program; licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state of practice with BLS certification.
• Experience in long-term care and ability to evaluate and treat independently.
• Experience with tracheotomy.

Responsibilities

• Complete respiratory assessments and implement therapies to progress rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Provide bedside treatments and quarterly in-services for nursing staff.
• Document daily, weekly and monthly activities and attend IDT meetings.
• Caseload tracking, auditing and compliance with facility protocol.
• Perform related duties as required.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
