Job summary

Chatham Hills Subacute Care Center is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our geriatric care team. The RT will assess, treat, and monitor residents, perform bedside therapies, and collaborate with nursing staff to improve patient experience in a skilled nursing setting.

The ideal candidate is licensed as an RRT or CRT in the state and can work independently without direct supervision, with a passion for geriatric care and commitment to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed in the practicing state as RRT or CRT.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory assessments and implement therapies for rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
• Initiate therapies, document progress, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete bedside treatments and ensure patient comfort.
• Conduct in-services for nursing staff on a quarterly basis.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday
