Job summary

Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join a geriatric-focused team in a skilled nursing facility. The candidate must hold a state license (RRT/CRT) and be able to evaluate and treat independently, with a commitment to functional therapy for residents.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, initiating therapies, maintaining records, and participating in quarterly nursing staff in-services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory program.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
• BLS certification and licensed in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques for rehab patients.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate and assemble equipment.
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments.
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly documentation.
• Attend applicable IDT meetings.
• Track, auditing, and caseload management; performs related duties.
• Experience with tracheotomy; long-term care setting.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $37 to $45 an hour

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday
