Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC seeks a Physical Therapist for a 13-week contract in Cleveland, OH. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and adjusting treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate discharge and community reintegration.

The PT will educate patients, families, and staff, supervise students, and uphold licensure requirements. Weekend coverage and travel considerations may apply per assignment.

Qualifications

  • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
  • Must hold a valid, current state license as a Physical Therapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Develop, implement and modify treatment plans.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions.
  • Document medical records accurately and timely.
  • Supervise and evaluate students in the program.
  • Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts.
  • Maintain licensure and comply with State Practice Act.

Schedule

Day shift, 5 days a week (8-hour shifts). Monday to Friday with 2 weekends per month.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient's needs and physician directions. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients and ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate a return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.

Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
  • Complete medical record documentation accurately and timely.
  • Participate in student program assignments, providing supervision and evaluation.
  • Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts.
  • Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
