Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating all assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will ensure the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities and will educate patients, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Maintain clear, concise, and accurate medical documentation in compliance with clinic policies.
- Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
- Participate in the student program, offering a positive learning environment.
- Create an individualized professional development plan and pursue continuing education.
- Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of services.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
- 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Active physical therapy license for the state where work will be performed.
