Job summary

The YMCA Reston seeks motivated Physical Therapist/Personal Trainers to help members reach their peak physical potential through personalized programs, manual therapy, and targeted rehabilitation. You will assess needs, design corrective exercises, and guide one-on-one and group sessions to build strength and confidence.

Applicants should hold a Physical Therapist license in VA, CPT certification (ACE/NASM/ACSM), CPR/AED, and at least one year of outpatient and training experience.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist License required.
• Licensed by board of medicine in VA.
• Current Personal Training certification from ACE, NASM or ACSM.
• Post-Rehabilitation Specialist Certification preferred.
• Minimum of one year outpatient experience.
• Minimum of one-year training experience.
• References from previous employers or patients.
• CPR & AED certified.

Responsibilities

• Providing manual therapy, rehabilitation, injury prevention, and functional exercises for members.
• Developing personalized fitness programs, monitoring progress, and ensuring high-quality care.
• Guide members through rehabilitative exercises and personalized strength programs.
• Lead transformative one-on-one and group physical therapy/personal training sessions.
• Motivate members to stretch beyond limits to attain goals.
