Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care in Chapin, SC is seeking a part-time caregiver to provide daily living support, companionship, and health monitoring per an individualized care plan. You’ll assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, meal prep, mobility, and documentation of changes to the office.

We offer flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid orientation and training, and a supportive team that values caregivers. CPR certification or willingness to obtain is preferred; dementia experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years caregiver experience required.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Follow care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and transfers.
• Meal prep and nutritional support.
• Document care and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health
• Provide medication reminders and support
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff

Requirements

• 2 years prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, or PCA required
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus

Position Details

• Job Type: Part Time
• Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Expected Hours: 24 hours per week
• Shift: Mon, Tues, Thursday 2pm-8pm
