Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is hiring a PRN caregiver to support clients in Irmo, SC. You will assist with daily living tasks, monitor health, remind about medications, provide companionship, and help with mobility and safety.

This role offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, training, and a collaborative team dedicated to quality care. You’ll work with families and healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care for clients.

Qualifications

• Prior professional experience as a Caregiver, CNA, or PCA required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health
• Provide medication reminders and support
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff
