Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is seeking compassionate aides to support clients at home in Chapin, SC. You will perform daily living tasks, follow care plans, and provide medication reminders while offering companionship and emotional support.

The role requires 2 years of caregiver experience, dementia care is a plus, and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). You must be physically able to assist with transfers and mobility, with weekly pay and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 2 years of caregiver experience required (CNA/PCA acceptable).
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers.
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff.

Position Details
