Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Charleston is hiring compassionate in-home caregivers to support seniors and adults in private homes or facilities around Charleston, SC. You will provide essential daily living assistance, monitor health, and offer companionship to help clients live safely with dignity and independence.

Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with 12–30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling, paid orientation and training, and weekly pay are offered to support caregivers in delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a caregiver is required or preferred.
• Dementia and long-term care experience is a plus.
• CPR certification is a plus.
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Follow care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Assist with transfers and mobility for safety.
• Help with meal preparation and nutrition.

• Document care accurately and report changes to the office
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff

Requirements
