Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a genuine, friendly, and entertaining experience.
• Engage every customer in conversation using open‑ended questions and active listening to determine their needs and provide appropriate item selections.
• Maintain solid product knowledge and keep current with new product releases.
• Demonstrate products and add value to every interaction.
• Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized store.
• Assist in processing shipment, replenishing product, merchandising, and monitoring floor stock to ensure all product is priced, displayed, and rotated correctly.
• Complete transactions at the POS quickly and accurately.
• Handle escalated customer service issues as they arise and determine resolution or upscale further, communicating all issues and resolutions to the Store Manager.
• Plan, assign, direct, and complete work during shifts, including ensuring accurate completion of all closing activities.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with PetPeople policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
