Primary Purpose

Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to our customers by achieving Food Lion customer service standards. Assist the Food Lion To-Go Lead in maintaining store standards according to the company manual. Maximize sales through excellent customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile, using their name when possible, and provide prompt, friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Food Lion's principles, values, and strategy.
• Shop multiple customer orders efficiently using designated tools and equipment.
• Recognize and differentiate between types of produce, including varieties of similar products.
• Substitute items when requested.
• Scan, bag, and label purchases accurately following company policies.
• Verify customer IDs and adhere to policies on alcohol sales.
• Assist customers with order pickups.
• Complete accountability forms accurately.
• Maintain a neat appearance with proper uniform and adhere to dress code.
• Control store expenses through proper use of supplies.
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
• Report unsafe conditions and maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete required training courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Meet physical requirements of the role, with or without accommodations.

Qualifications
