Primary Purpose

Provide fast, easy, flexible, and friendly service to customers, adhering to Food Lion customer service standards. Assist the Food Lion To-Go Lead in maintaining store standards and maximize sales through excellent service.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet customers with a smile, use their name when possible, and provide prompt, friendly service to create a positive shopping experience.
2. Demonstrate behaviors aligned with Food Lion's guiding principles, core values, vision, and strategy.
3. Shop multiple customer orders efficiently using designated tools and equipment.
4. Recognize and differentiate between various types of produce, including similar varieties.
5. Substitute items upon request.
6. Scan, bag, and label purchases accurately following company policies.
7. Verify customer IDs and adhere to store policies regarding alcohol sales.
8. Assist customers with order pickups.
9. Complete accountability forms accurately.
10. Maintain courtesy and helpfulness towards colleagues.
11. Wear the uniform appropriately, including apron and name badge, maintaining a neat appearance.
12. Manage store expenses by efficiently using supplies.
13. Follow all company policies and safety guidelines.
14. Identify and report unsafe conditions.
15. Notify QA of cleaning or maintenance issues.
16. Complete required training courses.
17. Perform additional duties as assigned.
18. Meet the physical requirements of the role, with accommodations if needed.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
3. Teamwork orientation.
4. Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical skills.
5. Meet age requirements for specific functions.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to operate computers, smart devices, and communication systems.
