What you get to do:
- Conduct or assist with safety inspections of park facilities and equipment.
- Conduct or assist with EHS‑related training.
- Assist with mandated record‑keeping.
- Attend all safety meetings as required.
- Represent the company by displaying a positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
You will also:
- Conduct and assist with regular EHS inspections throughout the park to ensure compliance with SEA Safety policies and OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct and assist with safety‑related training and present topics in line with approved training materials.
- Ensure that the accident investigation database is updated and that accidents requiring investigation are completed within the assigned timeframe.
- Attend all safety meetings as required.
- Serve as Safety Duty Officer to provide guidance to park leadership and respond to immediate business needs.
- Assist with building presentations, tracking, and analyzing data trends.
- Participate in presenting analytical information to various departments and large groups.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Certified or able to become certified in safety‑department training programs (e.g., Intelex).
- Ability to obtain SEA certification for forklift, aerial lift, and DOT.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to appropriately manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to handle multiple and varied tasks in a team environment.
- Physically able to walk distances, climb lengthy staircases, bend, and lift objects of various weights up to 25lbs.
- Ability to positively interact with park guests and co‑workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages, and individuals with special needs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift based on business need, including opening, mid‑and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
