Northwest Nazarene University’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences invites applications for core faculty positions in the APA-accredited Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program. Appointments may range from half-time to full-time, based on needs and qualifications.

The PsyD program is primarily face-to-face on the NNU campus in Nampa, Idaho. We seek faculty who can regularly teach, mentor, and collaborate with students and colleagues while contributing to scholarly

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited).
• Ability to teach and mentor doctoral students.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff and students.
• Commitment to ethical, professional, and culturally responsive practice.
• Contribution to teaching, scholarship, service and mentoring duties.
• Commitment to the Christian mission of the university.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in the PsyD program aligned with expertise and needs.
• Develop and revise courses and syllabi to meet program outcomes and APA standards.
• Advise and mentor PsyD students in academics and career planning.
• Chair or serve on dissertation committees and guide students through research.
• Provide clinical supervision when appropriate to qualifications and program needs.
• Participate in curriculum development, program evaluation, and accreditation work.
• Maintain scholarly activity and regular availability to students.
• Engage in PsyD faculty meetings, student recruitment, and program events.
