Job summary

Northwest Nazarene University’s College of Behavioral and Social Sciences invites applications for a Director of Clinical Training (DCT) for its APA accredited Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program. Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
• Current licensure in Idaho or eligibility for licensure in Idaho.
• Experience providing clinical services and supervising developing clinicians.
• Knowledge of doctoral-level clinical training and competency-based education.
• Ability to evaluate student clinical development and readiness for practice.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Ability to build relationships with clinical training partners and sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee practicum training sequence to support progressive professional development.
• Coordinate practicum placements and maintain external site partnerships.
• Develop relationships with community agencies to expand practicum opportunities.
• Represent the PsyD program in the community and cultivate new training partnerships.
• Monitor student progress and readiness for advancement through training levels.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and program requirements.
• Provide orientation and ongoing communication to students regarding practicum expectations.
• Support internship readiness reviews and APPIC application processes.
• Collaborate with faculty on program assessment and remediation decisions.
