Job summary

The Psychology Assistant at employee-einstein will serve as the primary research coordinator for a newly funded NIH study, focused on passive smartphone phenotypes in Alzheimer’s disease. The role requires conducting neuropsychological assessments, administering interviews, and ensuring data integrity across English and Spanish-language needs.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage databases in Excel/SPSS/R, and assist with IRB documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Major in Neuroscience and/or Psychology is preferred.
• Experience working in a Neuroscience and/or Psychology Laboratory preferred.
• Experience with software programs such as Excel, SPSS, and R preferred.
• Experience working with adults and/or older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rates for this are listed below. This rate is based on the 1199 bargaining unit contract.

ABOUT US

The Psychology Assistant will serve as the primary research coordinator for a newly funded NIH study entitled "Passive smartphone phenotypes of everyday behavior for assessment in Alzheimer's disease" (NIA K23), led by Dr. Katherine Hackett, a clinical neuropsychologist in the inaugural Division of Brain and Cognitive Health Technology. This project evaluates an innovative approach to characterizing everyday behavior and Alzheimer's disease risk in older adults using passive monitoring technologies, including smartphone sensing (digital phenotyping).
