Job summary

Premier Health and Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine seek an experienced educator to serve as Associate Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program. The APD leads educational initiatives, mentors residents and faculty, and collaborates with GME leadership across sites.

The role requires a leader in education with clinical excellence, aiming to advance teaching, resident well-being, and program quality in Southwest Ohio.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS degree required.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the residency program and support the Program Director.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME standards and institutional policies.
• Maintain ongoing clinical activity and professional practice.
• Recruit high-quality residents and participate in interviews.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum for resident growth and readiness for board certification.
• Mentor residents and faculty, promoting a collaborative learning environment.
• Monitor resident performance and provide feedback toward competency milestones.
• Foster academic excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
• Serve as liaison between the program, medical community, and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with departments to align residency and fellowship education.
