Job summary

University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health seeks a dynamic Associate or Full Professor to serve as Residency Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency Program. This 1.0 FTE, non-tenure accruing role oversees operations, teaching, recruitment, evaluation, and faculty development, aligning with ACGME requirements.

The RPD will allocate time for administrative duties and clinical teaching, with opportunities for research and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with credentials that merit appointment at associate professor or higher.
• Wisconsin medical license or eligibility for licensure, and ABPN certification.
• Minimum of three years of educational and/or administrative experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, residents, fellows and employees from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all residency program operations per ACGME requirements.
• Develop policies, curricula, evaluation systems, and resident schedules.
• Lead accreditation activities (Self Study, APE, CQI).
• Assist chair in program budget and resource allocation.
• Foster scholarly activity and academic dissemination.
• Maintain active clinical practice and supervise teaching.
