Job summary

Freedom Healthcare is seeking a Central Intake Representative to manage patient referrals, verify insurance eligibility, and prepare clinical presentations for admission decisions. You will coordinate with inpatient and outpatient psychiatry teams and input data into the EHR to accelerate admissions while maintaining data accuracy and privacy.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with experience in intake/admission or related healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• State accredited program completion is required.
• Clinical knowledge of ICD-10/CPT and medical terminology is preferred.
• Proficiency with PC computers and standard communication software is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and organization are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform centralized psychiatric intake and admission processing for inpatient and outpatient visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and communicate with admissions and providers.
• Coordinate referrals and present information to the on-call psychiatrist for admission decisions.
• Input data into the organization’s EHR and maintain accurate patient presentations.
• Ensure timely, accurate data collection and adherence to response timelines.
