Freedom Healthcare is seeking a Central Intake Representative to manage centralized psychiatric intake admissions for both inpatient and outpatient services. You will verify insurance eligibility, input data into the EHR, and coordinate with the on-call psychiatrist to determine admission status and level of care.

The role emphasizes timely communication, data collection, and efficient referral processing to shorten wait times for approvals and admissions.

Qualifications

• State accredited program completion is preferred.
• Experience in Intake or Admission Department is preferred (minimum 1 year).
• Proficient knowledge of PC computers and communication software utilization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Understanding of medical and psychiatric diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Manage centralized psychiatric intake admissions for inpatient and outpatient visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility when applicable.
• Support referral source and patient satisfaction with prompt, accurate processing.
• Present data to the approved provider for admission consideration.
• Assist in initial registration and input of facilities into EHR systems.
• Communicate with hospital leaders to secure timely admission approvals.
