Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Psychiatrist to join a rural Eastern Oregon hospital, offering full autonomy within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Position is permanent, full-time, four 10-hour days, day shift, located in La Grande, OR. Compensation ranges up to $385k+ with incentives; relocation assistance provided and robust benefits. You will help grow behavioral health alongside primary care services.

Qualifications

• MD from an accredited school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry.
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population.
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress to ensure therapeutic efficacy and safety.
• Partner with Primary Care providers and Behavioral Health specialists to provide a "whole-patient" approach to health.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders).
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team, contributing to workforce training and the development of clinical protocols.
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting.
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center environment when psychiatric expertise is required for acute patient stabilization.
• Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce the stigma of mental health and improve access to care in the region.
