Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team at Valdosta State Prison in Valdosta, Georgia. The role works within a multidisciplinary team to provide behavioral health assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in a correctional setting.

The position offers day shift, weekdays, and flexibility to consider remote or onsite candidates; a comprehensive benefits package includes health/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, malpractice insurance, and generous PTO.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry required or eligible.
• Active and unrestricted medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Responsibilities

The Psychiatrist works within a multi-disciplinary team to provide behavioral health/psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients in a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required


• Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry


• Active and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain licensure
