Job summary

Compass Health Center is expanding with a new Falls Church, VA location to deliver PHP and IOP services for children, adolescents and adults. The interdisciplinary team will work under physician leadership to build programs from the ground up and implement evidence-based treatment plans.

We are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent or Adult Psychiatrist who values autonomy, innovation, and high-quality care in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care to children, adolescents and adults enrolled in PHP/IOP
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning per evidence-based practice
• Lead multidisciplinary clinical teams and make recommendations on treatment plans
• Adhere to documentation policies and document all patient contacts
• Participate in Utilization Review, Quality Assurance and professional development
• Meet or exceed RVU, encounter and treatment-day benchmarks

About This Role

As the largest provider of PHP/IOP programs and psychiatric services in Illinois, Compass Health Center is one of the fastest-growing behavioral health organizations in the country. Launching in early 2027, our newest location in Falls Church, VA, will be home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Child and Adolescent or Adult Psychiatrist who is passionate about addressing the current nationwide behavioral health crisis, while leading interdisciplinary treatment teams within an organization that is redefining the standard of comprehensive PHP/IOP care. You will play a pivotal role in a growing, mission-driven environment that accommodates psychiatrist autonomy to create innovative and individualized treatments for each patient.

What You’ll Do

• Providing daily care to children, adolescents and adults enrolled in PHP and IOP
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning consistent with current evidence-based practice.
• Leading experienced, multi-disciplinary clinical teams and making overall recommendations on treatment plans
• Adhere to documentation policies and protocols documenting all patient contacts in clinical record.
• Participate in Utilization Review, Quality Assurance and professional development activities
• Meet or exceed established RVU, encounter and treatment-day benchmarks

Who You Are

• BE or BC in Virginia
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain Virginia license and DEA certification
• Licensed or ability to obtain licensure within states Compass provides services
• Skilled in psychopharmacology and the evaluation and treatment of mental illness.
• Experience with CBT, DBT, and ACT therapy modalities.
• Excellent communication and executive functioning skills.
