Job summary

Compass Health Center is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing PHP/IOP team in Maryland. You will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications when indicated, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor individualized treatment plans for patients in crisis and ongoing care.

• Licensed or eligible for Maryland APRN licensure and prescriptive authority.
• Board certification in Psychiatry as PMHNP (ANCC).
• DNP or MSN in nursing from an accredited program.
• DEA license and RN license in Maryland.
• Experience with patients in crisis and crisis intervention.
• 2+ years of prescribing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial psychiatric evaluation and determine diagnosis and plan of care.
• Prescribe and adjust medications as indicated within an interdisciplinary team.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate with treatment team.
• Document encounters timely and accurately.
• Educate patients and families about condition and care.
• Collaborate with team to ensure quality of care.

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate aboutaddressing the current nationwide behavioral health crisis, while working on interdisciplinary treatment teams within an organization that is redefining the standard of comprehensive PHP/IOP care.You will playa pivotal role ina growing, mission-driven environment that accommodates provider autonomy to create innovative andindividualized treatments for each patient.

What You'll Do:

• Performing complete initial psychiatric evaluation on patient to determine diagnosis and develop plan of care including medication prescription, if indicated
• Revising, prescribing, and implementing therapeutic regimen using an interdisciplinary approach
• Monitoring patient progress and providing collaborative treatment and communication with the treatment team
• Providing timely documentation of each encounter with a patient
• Ensuring patient/family education regarding clinical condition and relevant aspects of care
• Working in collaboration with treatment team members to ensure quality of care and consideration of services
• Maintaining required level of continuing education and preferred development activities
• Using interpersonal and communication skills that enable one to establish and maintain professional relations with patients, families, colleagues and other members of the healthcare team

Who You Are:

• Licensed or possess the ability to obtain license as an Advance Practiced Nurse in the State of Maryland
• ANCC National Board Certification in Psychiatry- PMHNP Certification
• Prescriptive Authority
• DEA license
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
• DNP or MSN from an accredited Nursing Program
• CPR certified
• Experience with patients in crisis
• 2+ years experience prescribing
