Job summary

Compass Health Center in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Board-Certified/Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join our growing PHP/IOP program. This role offers leadership within multidisciplinary teams and opportunities for innovative patient-centered care.

You will evaluate patients, prescribe medications, and collaborate with therapists and nurses in a mission-driven environment dedicated to crisis-level mental health care. Cross-licensure support and state licensure flexibility are encouraged.

Qualifications

• BE or BC Adult Psychiatrist.
• Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license; DC/VA license preferred.
• Willingness to pursue cross-licensure via Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
• MD Board Licensure required.
• DEA certification for Maryland.
• Strong evaluation/treatment skills for mental illness.
• Excellent communication in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily care in PHP/IOP programs.
• Conducting psychiatric evaluations, establishing diagnoses, prescribing medications, and providing therapy.
• Leading interdisciplinary clinical teams and advising on treatment plans.
• Collaborating with family/individual therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists.
• Limited call responsibilities.

Compass Health Center is seeking a Child, Adolescent, & Adult Psychiatrist to join our team in Silver Spring, Maryland.

We are seeking a Psychiatrist who is passionate about addressing the current nationwide behavioral health crisis, while leading interdisciplinary treatment teams within an organization that is redefining the standard of comprehensive PHP/IOP care. What You'll Do

• Providing daily care in our PHP/IOP programs
• Conducting psychiatric evaluations for Compass patients, establishing diagnoses, prescribing medication, and providing therapy
• Leading experienced, multi-disciplinary clinical teams and making overall recommendations on treatment plans
• Collaborating with family therapists, individual therapists, nurses, and psychiatrists
• Limited call responsibilities

Who You Are

• BE or BC Adult Psychiatrist
• Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license. DC and VA license preferred.
• Willingness and eligibility to apply for cross-licensure through the Interstate Medical License Compact
• Licensed or ability to obtain Maryland Board of Medical Practice Licensure
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Maryland
• Skilled in the evaluation and treatment of mental illness
• Excellent communication skills and the desire to work in a collaborative, team-based environment
