Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for its Psychiatric unit in Corona, CA. This part-time role directs patient care activities during the shift and provides care to adult and geriatric patients within the Behavioral Health Services department.

The Charge RN will assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document patient treatment plans, while counseling families and ensuring adherence to nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience required.
• One year working with geriatric population required.
• Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training within 90 days from date of hire.
• Current California Registered Nurse license required and BLS (CPR) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Directs patient care activities during the assigned shift.
• Provides care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Performs assessment, diagnosis planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of treatment plans.
• Counsels and educates patients' families.
• Supervises all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).
