Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) for Psychiatric care on a part-time, on-site basis in Corona, CA. The Charge RN will supervise nursing staff, direct patient care during shifts, and collaborate with the Behavioral Health Services team to ensure quality outcomes for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities include assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of treatment plans, along with counseling and education for patients' families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience.
• One year working with geriatric population.
• Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
• Current California Registered Nurse license required; BLS (CPR) certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care activities during the assigned shift for adult and geriatric patients.
• Evaluate, plan, intervene, document and coordinate treatment plans.
• Counsel and educate patients' families and caregivers.
• Supervise LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA and other nursing personnel.
• Follow nursing standards of care and hospital policies to ensure optimal outcomes.
