Job summary

Corona Regional in Corona, CA is seeking a part-time Charge Nurse (RN) in Psychiatry to lead nursing care during your shift. This role directs patient care, performs assessments, plans, interventions, and documentation for adult and geriatric patients, and mentors LVN/LPT and CNA staff.

The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, BLS, and a Bachelor’s degree preferred, with two years of psychiatric/geriatric experience and leadership prior.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience.
• One year working with geriatric population.
• Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred. Assaultive Behavior Management training within 90 days from hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care activities during assigned shift.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate and document treatment plans.
• Counsel and educate patient's families; supervise LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.
• Adhere to nursing standards of care, policies and procedures.
